The General Hospital in Agadagba Obon, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, is set for a major facelift as the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has directed the contractor handling the project to return to site immediately.
This development comes shortly after OSOPADEC’s 2025 budget presentation and defense at the Ondo State House of Assembly on Monday.
Speaking at the Commission’s headquarters in Oba-Ile, Akure, the Secretary of the Commission, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, issued the directive during a meeting with representatives of the construction company, Cimax Valexim Nigeria Ltd.
She emphasized the need for strict adherence to contractual specifications and quality standards in the execution of the project.

In a chat with OSOPADEC TV, the Managing Director of Cimax Valexim Nigeria Ltd, Engr. Dan Caineanu, stated that the hospital project is approximately 70 percent completed. He affirmed the company’s readiness to resume work and deliver the project within six months, pending the timely release of funds based on certified valuations.

The project, when completed, is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare for the people of Agadagba Obon and its environs, furthering the State government’s efforts to strengthen infrastructure in oil-producing communities.
