“Ilaje/Ese-Odo Advocacy Council of the Niger Delta,
Ondo State, Nigeria.

To,
Dr. Samuel Ogboku
Managing Director/CEO
Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Sir,
Request for Inclusion of Ondo State as a CBT Examination Center for the 2025/2026 NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme.
We write on behalf of the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Advocacy Council of the Niger Delta in Ondo State to commend your visionary leadership and the commendable strides the Commission is making under your stewardship, particularly through the renewed focus on human capital development within the framework of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
We are especially appreciative of the launch of the NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme and the commitment to support indigenous scholars within our local institutions. However, we wish to bring to your attention a pressing concern regarding the location of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for the scholarship examination.
At present, candidates from Ondo State are compelled to travel to far-flung locations such as Rivers, Delta, and Akwa Ibom States to sit for the CBT exam. This imposes considerable logistical and financial burdens, not to mention heightened safety and security concerns, especially for students traveling from the riverine areas of Ilaje and Ese-Odo.
We therefore respectfully request that the NDDC consider the inclusion of a CBT center within Ondo State for the scholarship program. Institutions such as the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, and the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), possess modern CBT facilities and are well-positioned to serve as viable centers for this purpose.
Ondo State remains the only Niger Delta state within the South-West geopolitical zone. As such, the absence of a local CBT center for this critical program is a gap that needs urgent redress. Establishing a center within the state would not only enhance accessibility and participation but also affirm the Commission’s commitment to fairness and regional inclusiveness.
We thank you for your attention to this important matter and trust in your responsiveness to the needs of all Niger Delta stakeholders.
Yours sincerely,
Comrade.Ayodeji Charles Semudara
