The National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS)Global, under the purposeful and progressive leadership of Comr. Alade Temitope Tosin (CODED)Global President, extends its profound appreciation, unwavering loyalty, and heartfelt commendation to His Excellency, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, for the historic and successful execution of the “Thank You Tour” that spanned all the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State.
This landmark tour, which lasted over the course of one week and few days stands as a testament to His Excellency’s deep rooted belief in grassroots engagement, participatory governance, accountability, and people oriented leadership. By deliberately taking governance to the doorsteps of the people, His Excellency once again demonstrated that leadership is not distant, but accessible, responsive, and anchored on genuine appreciation of the masses.
The “Thank You Tour” was not merely a ceremonial visitation rather, it served as a strategic platform for reconnecting with the people, acknowledging their overwhelming support, reaffirming governmental commitments, and reinforcing the social contract that binds leadership and followership. Across the length and breadth of the state, the Governor’s message of unity, development, peace, and shared prosperity resonated deeply with citizens from diverse backgrounds.
As the umbrella body of all Ondo State students worldwide, NAOSS Global proudly and visibly accompanied His Excellency throughout the entire tour across the 18 Local Government Areas. Our presence was deliberate and symbolic clearly sending a strong message that Ondo State students are fully aligned with, and supportive of, the current administration in its quest to reposition the state for sustainable growth and generational impact.
NAOSS Global participation further reaffirmed the long standing synergy between the Ondo State Government and the student community. It also underscored the Governor’s student-friendly disposition, his appreciation of education as a father of swift intervention,critical driver of development and his commitment to youth inclusion in governance and policy formulation.
The grand finale of the statewide tour, which was held at the historic NEPA Roundabout, Akure South Local Government Area, was a spectacular and momentous gathering that brought together government officials, traditional rulers, party leaders, youths, students and citizens from across the state. The massive turnout, energetic reception and overwhelming show of support served as a clear validation of His Excellency’s acceptance and performance in office.
At this final convergence, the atmosphere was one of celebration, gratitude, renewed hope, and collective resolve. It marked not just the end of the Thank You Tour, but the beginning of a stronger, more inclusive, and people driven phase of governance in Ondo State.
NAOSS Global uses this opportunity to deeply appreciate His Excellency for his visionary leadership, humility in service, consistency in purpose, and commitment to democratic ideals. His policies and actions continue to inspire confidence among students and young people, assuring us that our future is being secured through purposeful governance, investment in education, and empowerment of the next generation.
We unequivocally reaffirm that NAOSS Global remains steadfast, loyal and committed to supporting the Ondo State Government, especially in areas that promote academic excellence, youth development, infrastructural advancement, peace and socioeconomic transformation.
As students, we recognize that sustainable development thrives where leadership listens, appreciates, and collaborates with the people. His Excellency has exemplified these values, and for this, he deserves commendation.
Ondo State is on the path of progress.
The future is promising.
