Vision: Empowering Ilaje Constituency 1 through sustainable development, improved living standards, and inclusive governance.
Key Priority Areas:
1. Representation:
- Voice of the Voiceless: advocate for Ilaje Constituency 1’s needs
- Ensure community concerns are heard at the State House
2. Legislation:
- Develop laws promoting development, welfare in Ilaje Constituency
- Support bills aligning with community interests
3. Oversight:
- Monitor government projects, ensure accountability in Ilaje Constituency 1
- Hold executive accountable for project implementation
4. Reticulation of boreholes water system:
- Address the challenges of non-availability of portable water in the riverine communities by maintaining and treating the existing but dilapidated boreholes and then reticulate them to nearer communities without boreholes.
5. Sponsor Healthcare Improvement Bill:
- Upgrade healthcare facilities, equipment, and personnel
- Promote community health education, outreach programs, and screenings
- Support maternal, child health initiatives
6. Sponsor Environmental Management Bill:
- Implement waste management systems, recycling programs
- Promote environmental sanitation, hygiene practices
- Support sustainable development, climate change mitigation
7. Education Development:
- Support school infrastructure development (classrooms, facilities)
- Promote teacher training, educational resources
- Encourage girl-child education, scholarships
8. Empowerment and Social Inclusion:
- Skills acquisition programs for youth, women
- Promote the welfare of older people and strengthen social service programs.
- Promote gender equality, inclusivity in development projects
Given my background in Health Education and Environmental Health Management(Public Health), I will be well-positioned to drive initiatives through legislative business in these core areas.
