Following a thorough and transparent screening exercise, the Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative (DHDEI) has successfully selected 264 beneficiaries from the 304 applicants who attended the screening, out of the initial 467 applications received for the 2026 Ilaje Youth Empowerment Programme.
The selected beneficiaries will officially commence their skill acquisition training on Saturday, April 18, 2026, marking the beginning of a transformative journey toward self-reliance and productivity for a period of six months to two years.
Parents of the beneficiaries, who could not hide their excitement, expressed deep appreciation to the organization for once again bringing this impactful opportunity to the Ilaje community. They commended DHDEI for its consistency in empowering youths through access to free skill acquisition programmes.
The number of beneficiaries selected further reinforces the organization’s confidence in their commitment to learning, as each individual has been carefully considered and deemed ready to maximize the opportunity provided through the platform.
Speaking on the outcome of the exercise, Mr. Adesoji Daniel Feyijimi commended the beneficiaries for their discipline, patience, and commendable conduct throughout the screening process, noting that their attitude reflects readiness for the training ahead.
DHDEI continues to stand as a beacon of hope, empowering young people with practical skills that promote independence, reduce unemployment, and strengthen community development in Ilaje and beyond.
