The Member representing Ilaje Constituency II at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olawumi Annah Fayemi-Obayelu, has extended her warm congratulations to Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, and Sola Iji on their well deserved ambassadorial appointments.
Hon. Fayemi-Obayelu described the appointments as a proud moment for Ondo South senatorial district and Ondo State at large, noting that both distinguished personalities have consistently demonstrated leadership, competence, and commitment to national development. According to her, their new diplomatic responsibilities are a recognition of their years of service, experience, and dedication to the growth of the nation.
She stated that Senator Jimoh Ibrahim and Ambassador Sola Iji remain leaders the people are proud of, expressing confidence that they will represent Nigeria with dignity, integrity, and excellence on the global stage.
The lawmaker also commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the thoughtful selection, describing the appointments as “a round peg in a round hole.” She emphasized that the decision reflects the President’s commitment to appointing capable individuals who can effectively project Nigeria’s interests internationally.
